Who stopped moving, trying to escape from a cave and govern a vast field. If they had not started agriculture, there would be no authority, no hierarchy, no laws, and no ownership. If they had not given up living with the world instead of dominating it, no one would forget the connection between us and the earth. Now, this world is filled with things that do not truly belong in the world. Humans had given up the connection, choosing dominance. Superiority over the world. That must have been wrong.
I hate those who promoted the Industrial Revolution.
If they had not promoted the Industrial Revolution, there would be no buildings, no cars, no paved roads, no smartphones, no SNS, and no occupations like IT engineers. I hate myself for being an IT engineer. I truly do. I hate the contradiction that, however much I hate being an IT engineer, I cannot pass through this world without being one. I hate the fact that I have been a human since I was born, and that I cannot live without being a human. I cannot breathe in this world, where humans do not actually belong. That is wrong.
Scenes, the scenes I have seen in the past, and the scenes I am now seeing are all wrong. Tricked. Duped. They must have been hallucinations, and I hope that they are all hallucinations. I cannot help but imagine what it would feel like to live in a cave, pursuing big and small animals, gathering around a fire, belonging to the earth, feeling a sense of belonging to the earth, sleeping on the earth I belong to, and truly being human. It is inevitable that I imagine such ludicrous dreams to escape from the world in which I cannot breathe. I hate this misleading reality.
I am surrounded by things I truly hate. I hate eating chocolate to satisfy my belly. I hate enjoying online shopping. I hate writing this article using electrical devices, which are the stupidest inventions in human history. Yet I have no choice but to use electricity, walk on a paved road, work as an IT engineer, and be human. No matter how much I hate this world, no matter how much this world hates me, I have no other options, eventually.
